Studiorum 2017: Clinics for Choirs with Tommyanto Kandisaputra

Mr Tommyanto Kandisaputra, arguably one of Indonesia’s most prolific choral directors and a highly sought after adjudicator, was in Singapore from 13 to 17 March 2017 to conduct a series of choral workshops with choirs and for choral conductors in Singapore.

During these workshops, Mr Kandisaputra worked on the interpretation of repertoire and to fine tune the technical aspects such as vocal production and balance. This session was particularly useful if your choir is in the midst of preparing for competitions or choirs looking for some input on how to improve in a constructive and less competitive setting.

Participating choirs included:

  • Methodist Girls’ School
  • Anglo Chinese School (Independent)
  • Yuhua Secondary School
  • Saint Andrew’s Secondary School
  • Tanglin Club Choir
