李梅 LI Mei
Professor Li is a lecturer of music at Shaoxing University (Zhejiang Province, China), and graduated with a Master of Music from Fujian Normal University. Her main research interests are in music education and choral conducting.
In 2012, she led the Shaoxing University Female Choir at the 7th World Choir Games in Cincinnati and achieved gold awards in the Female Chamber Choirs and Musica Contemporanea categories.
In 2013, she obtained a National overseas scholarship and funding from the Zhejiang Department of Education for a visiting scholarship to Finland, where she researched on childhood music education.
From 2014 to 2019, she was the conductor of Shaoxing Yuanpei Female Choir and Shaoxing University (Early Childhood Education) Le Tian Female Choir, and led her choirs to achieve first and second placing prizes yearly at the Zhejiang Choir Competition. In 2018 and 2019, in collaboration with the Taiwan Kodaly Society (TKS), she led the Shaoxing Le Tian Children’s Art Troupe to Tainan and Kaoshiung for choral exchanges and concerts.
